Local Committee President
Name: Marysia Grabowska
Activity: Student at Roskilde University, Business Studies
My team: My team is called Executive Board ( EB). If you are part of my team, that means that you are on top of one of UNIC's departments and you have more duties than a member. You are responsible for our Local Committee performance and for setting its future direction. When being in the EB you can develop leadership, management and strategic skills.
My AIESEC story: I have joined AIESEC UNIC about 2 years ago, as a member in Outgoing Exchange department. There I had a chance to get to know and understand the organisation. I opened up for people, and made a lot of friends. However after one year I was craving for more responsibility and more AIESEC work, so I became part of National Support Team as Conference Manager. This has been absolutely the best experience I could wish for. I would never expect that in 10 months I can learn so much. The best thing was that I could see that I am delivering a very nice experience to AIESEC members, so my work was immediately rewarded. Now I am Local Committee President of AISEC UNIC and we will see what this year will bring...

Why you should join my team:The Incoming Exchange team (ICX) does what in most organizations would be called Corporate Sales. The team contacts companies around Copenhagen area and tries to sell the AIESEC’s product, meaning that they try to convince companies to take in an intern from abroad. Another task of the ICX team is to receive and take care of interns that come to Copenhagen to work at the companies that they have contacted themselves. This includes helping with visa procedures, finding a place to live, and organizing social activities to make the new intern feel welcome in Denmark. Working in ICX will be able to give you experience with Business-to-Business sales and the opportunity to go to company meetings and set up contracts with them. If you are interested in a career in Corporate Sales, joining the ICX team could give you a head start!
AIESEC's impact on my life: I joined AIESEC on March 2013 although I had heard about it 3 years ago. I missed a lot because of not joining before, I have this feeling now. AIESEC is providing me the opportunity to implement my theoretical knowledge from University to the real business case. Specially, my skills on presenting, analyzing, evaluating and concluding have qualitatively ascended. I have met many amazing and awesome people meaning developped my personal and professional networks. Also there are a lot of fun related activities which I can’t neglect to mention. I am proud to be an AIESECer !
